What are your impressions of The Visitation: A monastic way of life in the Church? We'd love to hear from you. Leave your feedback in a comment. We might even feature you in a future post.
It's always inspiring to see how the Holy Spirit moves -- the book illustrated for me how the Visitation charism is expressed uniquely in various monasteries across the country.
The book really lays out the order and shows us simply and clearly how it's evolved over 400 years. Before reading it, I didn't have a clear understanding of how our local Vis fits into the broader Vis community. Now I do.

The book gave me an appreciation for the journey of founding the order and the vision, patience and courage required of St. Francis and St. Jane.
I gained a better understanding of the culture of the times, a good historical context that as we enter into the 400th anniversary year.
And I loved the pictures! Pure pleasure.

This is a wonderful chronology of the Visitation order. The Salesian spirituality is an important tool for daily living.
